a. Extra April board meeting
The retreat will take place Sunday, April 17, from 1-4 pm at the Ecology
b. Internship discussions
The two possibilities so far have not worked out.
c. Grant update
The online survey has registered over 700 responses. The project team
will be meeting with City engineers shortly over mid-block crossings.
d. Curb Your Car Month 2011
Kris is almost done with website, but waiting on Erica’s training materials.
Promotion could also take place at the WCC Earth Day event (Pete will
confirm), as well as local schools. The Doris West Award may be given at
the May RAT ride as part of the festivities.
a. Cycling Skill Classes Update (Erica)
Set up through Rec & Ed, although details of adult classes are TBD.
b. Bike Fest / Tour de Kids events
Bike Fest will take place at Green Fair; Pete, Erica and Dwight will
coordinate. Funding for Tour de Kids uncertain. 1 block is reserved for
Bike Fest, but registration process needs doing.
c. Public Outreach Committee Update (Erica)
Karen, Erica, and Joel met and discussed the need to prepare a marketing
strategy, with set goals for outreach ate events. Karen, Joel will prepare.

Report on pedestrian project: posters are up on buses, posts.
Keychains, yard signs, window clings available; Jon, Eli coordinating.
Ypsilanti City Council opted to submit an application for rebuilding its city pool, as
well as the application for a new Huron River bridge on the Border-to-Border
trail, to the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund, although the bridge is
more “shovel-ready.”
The meeting adjourned at 8:25 pm.
