Meeting minutes for the last meeting were not available. 2. Treasurer's report: 3. New member/attendee intros and interests 4. A. Membership report/outreach 1. Our survey went out and we have received some surveys back, despite the formatting being mixed up. 2. Tim and Steve are checking into more bike shop memberships, but there are no new members at this point. 3. No update on the new bike owner packet. B. Reports from other groups 1. GetDowntown Program (Erica Briggs) - there are a number of bike lockers available in the downtown for rent at $60/year. The Link is going to be free over the summer. 2. AABCC Update 3. LMB Update 4. AABTS Safety Committee - no update 5. Ann Arbor Non-motorized plan committee - Meetings are well attended and there have been many good and detailed comments. There is another meeting this month at Clague Middle School in the Northeast Area. There has been a great deal of discussion about goals and objectives. John brought a copy of the proposed map for the West Area. 6. AA Environmental Commission Transportation Committee update C. Newsletter/blog - no update D. WBWC table/banner improvements - no update on this. 5. Actions A. WBWC 204 bicycling/walking projects 1. Non-motorized projects - University of Michigan - no update, though E Briggs reports that there have been discussions with the city about moving the city to a non-official non-motorized advocacy body. 2. Road shoulder paving - Kris wondered if we should invite Roy Townsend to one of our meetings. 3. Huron River Drive - No update 4. Sidewalk inventory - No update, except that J Hritz pointed out that this is one of the hot topics on the non-motorized plan. E Briggs pointed out that the DDA conducts an annual sidewalk tour and it might be useful to have members of the public at the tour next year. 5. Walking School Bus at Mitchell school - This was originally planned at Lakewood Elementary school, but there was much greater interest at Mitchell Elementary. J Hritz suspects that there is now a critical mass at Mitchell and this program will continue in the Fall. There was a good deal of comment about this and we agreed that we should push this more. Further, we should point out the health benefits. 6. Elections for local offices, 2004 - coming up. We agreed that we should send the questionnaire out soon. 7. PSAs on local Clear Channel stations? This is apparently already available. We agreed that this would be a good thing to do, but no one volunteered to call a station. B. Bike to Work Week 2004 and 2005 - K Talley reported that it went well. Neely said that there was a good turnout at almost all the events. E Briggs reported that the bike to work challenge for businesses went well. About 170 people signed up for the challenge and the total mileage was 700 miles more than from Portland, Maine to Los Angeles! C. Upcoming Events - Green Fair 6-4 - July 4 Parade, a2jaycees.org - float, parade, walking school bus, bubble trailer 6. Adjourned at 9pm. K Talley will decide later in the month whether the July 1st meeting will be held or the 4th of July parade will be our July meeting.
