   WBWC Meeting

   Minutes

   February 1, 2007

   In Attendance: Lacie, Lily Guzman, Frank Schwene, Pete Hines, Erica
   Briggs, Kris Talley, Ana Iacob, and Bob Krzewinski

   Treasurers Report: $1682.57

   Erica reviewed WBWC Retreat Highlights

   Kris asked for suggestions about how WBWC could be involved in Curb Your
   Car Month in May. The following suggestions were made:

     * Ride of Silence ~ May17th, 2007: WBWC may lead ride through town.

     * Thursday, May 3rd ~ Potential outreach meeting

     * Film Showing

     * Other Voices Article

     * Policy Maker Ride

     * Walking Scavenger Hunt

     * Ghost Walk

     * Information Tables

   For the Share the Road, WBWC can:

     * Write a letter of a support (Kris)

     * Provide funding for educational materials

     * Distribute materials

   For Bike Fest, WBWC will provide:

     * Repair Stand

   Purpose of Ypsi Outreach Meeting:

     * Increase exposure in Ypsilanti (membership info available)

     * Share what's going on

     * Explain issues facing Ypsi

   WBWC will participate in WCC Earth Day, April 19th, 9am-3:30pm

     * Potential volunteers: Kris, Frank, Anna, & Pete

   SR2S Training, March 13th 8:30-4pm

     * Free, but must register.

   WBWC General Member Report:

     * 22 members

     * 2 check in the mail

     * 1 courtesy member

     * Frank is going to approach retail establishments regarding "affiliate"
       memberships

     * Lily & Anna will work establishing a "resource" list of bike and
       walking organizations

     * Explore Paypal

     * Set-up a table in front stores (People Food Co-Op)

   Deadline for Newsletter: February 10th for March/April Edition

   Bob:

   Letter of support for: WCC urging reconstruction of no-mo path, SEMCOG
   editions to non-motorized plan

   Tabled EMU College Place Redevelopment

   Kris will meet with the 4th ward to discuss the integrating bike parking
   at the dorms
