Call to Action: Tell Ann Arbor City Council to Support Science and Vote YES on Upcoming Road Diet Projects
August 2, 2019
On Monday August 5th, Ann Arbor City Council will be voting on three road diets. Several council members have indicated that they will be voting against these projects. The scientific evidence is clear that road diets make our streets safer for pedestrians, bicyclists, and drivers. The accident data for Ann Arbor shows that roads in our community which have been reconfigured are safer. Road diets are an important component of Vision Zero. We need to let City Council know that planning decisions should be informed by science and to VOTE YES on these projects.
Here’s what you can do to help:
Call or write City Council before Monday’s meeting.
Attend the council caucus on Sunday at 7 p.m. on the second floor of Larcom City Hall
